BUT…My vibe-coded side hustle directory, Hustle Buddy, just surpassed its first $1,000 in total revenue since launch 🙌💸
This is a completely vibe-coded website I made in a weekend of work one day over the summer.
The crazy part?
The site has mostly been dormant. And it only took 125 prompts and a bit of thinking to build. No coding experience, and no expensive development team.
Let me walk you through how revenue has been growing.
AND, more importantly, I’ll share some real-world examples of how you can start building revenue-generating assets for your own life and business. Let’s get to it! 👇

My $1,000+ Vibe Coding Experiment
A while ago, I shared how I vibe-coded a new income stream and built a side hustle directory called Hustle Buddy.
For some context, Hustle Buddy is a directory where people can find the right side hustle based on their income, goals, and skills.
It’s a very simple site honestly 😅
I made it in about 125 prompts by using Lovable, my #1 vibe-coding tool of choice.
For monetization, I added several affiliate links for different FinTech products and side hustle partners I’ve worked with for years. If someone decided to try them out as a hustle, I earn a commission.
Again, a very simple site. But here’s what vibe-coding Hustle Buddy really highlighted to me now, more than ever…
👉 Packaging valuable information in a unique way is a marketing angle more solo operators need to take advantage of.
Think of your current audience and the offers you’re promoting…
EVERYONE is familiar with paid ads, webinars, blog content, and email marketing.
But when you take your offer and information and package them in a vibe-coded asset? Different story.
Hustle Buddy promotes the same partners and companies I’ve worked with for years. But it does so in an engaging, fresh way…People can actually interact with the directory, search for content differently, and still get the same value as reading one of my blog posts.
This is why I think more operators need to try out vibe-coding stuff.
You can build SO many cool things…Interactive quizzes, calculators, web applications, templates and trackers, even mobile apps for your customer base.
For example, if you sell some kind of coaching program…You can build a new mobile app or some kind of interactive tracker for your clients to follow. Basically, think of assets your audience would actually use and get value from and work these into your offer and sales process.
Again, we’re in the AI world now. Information is a cheap commodity. How you package and present this information to your audience is now a competitive advantage, if you make it one!

Hustle Buddy finally crossed $1,000 in total revenue, which I couldn’t be happier about since I haven’t really pushed marketing too hard (yet.)
Essentially, all I’ve done is add links to Hustle Buddy in my YouTube video description boxes. I’ve also posted about it on Reddit a few times and shared it in some more newsletter blasts.
That’s really about it 😅 But this project is now humming along at $100 to $150+ per month in affiliate revenue.
Again, I haven’t added many new pages or that much info to the database yet. It’s on my list of big projects for 2027 to really beef things up…
Overall, I’d call this V1 project a pretty fun success story. And again, it highlights the value of packaging your offer and information in a more unique way.
I highly encourage you to start building some new assets with Lovable or a similar platform as well if you haven’t tried to yet.
Even if it’s just a fresh website or landing page, it’s amazing what these AI tools can do these days. If you spend 30 minutes playing around, you’ll see for yourself 😉
