Want to create a new income stream? Give this a try!

Hey there, Tom here.

I hope you’re all having an awesome Tuesday so far. How’s your week been going? 😊

I just wanted to drop by today with a cool side hustle story I just spotted on my new subreddit.

As it turns out, this particular side hustle is paying people $100+ per hour and takes absolutely zero experience to start.

It’s a wild story.

PLUS the startup costs are incredibly cheap. You could genuinely try this idea in the next 24-48 hours if you wanted to give it a go…

So…What’s the side hustle?

🖌️ Painting curbs for people so you can easily spot their house number from the street.

Here’s an example of what one of these finished curb paintings looks like.

Someone posted about their curb painting side hustle on Reddit, and the results people are sharing are super cool.

In a nutshell, you need to buy some spray paint and make a few stencils for different designs you’d want to pain on a curb.

Next, you go door-to-door and pitch your service. The upsell is that it looks cool, but it also makes your house way easier to find for delivery drivers, first respondents, dinner guests…Especially at night.

People on Reddit chimed in. Apparently, this is a quick $20-$40 job per house. Some people even charge $100 for more intricate designs. And because you’re using stencils, it really doesn’t take much time at all.

Here’s what some of these side hustlers reported in terms of earnings:

👉 “Me and a buddy did this during the summer before my 9th grade year. We charged $10 for a single set of numbers lined up with the front door, or $15 for a set on each side of the driveway. We made about $4000 total before halving profits and it was my spending money my entire freshman year. This was 2008, so $2000 went pretty far back then for a 14-15 year old.”

👉 “I started my curb painting journey about a year ago. If you would like any tips feel free to message. Over $100 per hour is pretty usual for me now that I've stepped my work up.”

👉 “I did this for a few summers. I would tape little flyers up and attach to garage or front door- instructions on how to add their curb. I charge $20-$25 per curb. If planned in advance and correctly, I could make $500 over a weekend”

What’s also nice about this side hustle is that no one really seems to care about getting a permit 😂 I’m pretty anti permits for most things or getting governments or HOAs involved (HOAs are a special kind of evil), so it’s nice hearing side hustlers and homeowners are just cracking on and doing business!

Now, I know this is WiFi Wealth and that I typically cover online ideas for making money. But this side hustle really caught my eye, and I love how simple it is to test out in your market.

If you’re looking to try a new business and sharpen your sales skills, maybe curb painting is in your near future 😉

PS: would you ever get your curb painted? Or do you think this looks tacky?

🌍 Find Legit, High-Paying Remote Jobs In Your Industry

I started making money online and became fully remote back in 2020. And let me tell you, this absolutely transformed my income and lifestyle.

But the job market is pretty brutal at the moment. Not to mention, there’s an endless swamp of ghost listings and AI job postings you have to sift through to find something even worth applying for.

This is why I recommend people check out FlexJobs.

With FlexJobs, you can find actually legit remote jobs and opportunities that are hand-screened before being listed. No scams, and no more ghost listings.

I feel comfortable recommending FlexJobs since I found a freelance writing gig on it several years ago. And it has roles for beginner and experienced freelancers alike. Plus, you can find full-time, part-time, and contract-based roles across hundreds of industries.

Many roles also include salary information, which is refreshing. And FlexJobs’ team adds new listings every day.

Now FlexJobs does charge a subscription. But you can get 3 months of access for about $29 or so.

The amount of time this saves you versus scanning through ghost job listings is worth it in my opinion. And there’s also a 14-day trial for $2.95 if you want to test the waters.

💻 If you’re looking for legit remote opportunities, I’d give FlexJobs a try this month!

I hope you all have a great rest of your Tuesday.

I honestly love covering these sorts of niche side hustles. I found a couple of other gems too I’ll be sharing in future emails very soon, so stay tuned 😉

Also a new edition of Side Hustle Spotlight is coming out in the near future on WiFi Wealth, so keep an eye out for that one as well!

Until then, thank you all for reading and for your support, as always. It really means a lot.
